Już za tydzień – dwa…

Underley podesłał nam ciekawą informację dotyczącą aktualnego stanu prac nad kernelem linuksowym. W mailu, który cytuję w dalszej części tego tekstu, Linus Torvalds informuje, że już za tydzień bądz dwa zostaną rozpoczęte prace nad niestabilnym kernelem serii 2.5. Nie oznacza to oczywiście, że 2.4 odchodzi w przeszłość, część kodu z 2.5 będzie przeportowywana do kerneli o niższym numerze. A seria 2.4 będzie rozwijana podobnie jak 2.2 czy 2.0, które ciągle są udoskonalane…

I don't have any objections to the patch in that case, although it does  end up being a 2.5.x issue as far as I'm concerned (and don't worry, 2.5.x  looks like it will open in a week or two, so we're not talking about long  timeframes).
