Wypuszczona kilka godzin temu nowa wersja kernela linuksowego, nosząca numer 2.4.15-pre9 nie wnosi chyba nic nowego poza jednym drobiazgiem. W mailu ogłaszającym jej powstanie wymieniono tylko cztery wprowadzone poprawki, a tradycyjne słowo na niedzielę, od którego zaczyna się każdy changelog, kończy się I think I’m ready to hand this over to Marcelo. Dla niewtajemniczonych, którzy przegapili informację sprzed kilku dni – Marcelo Tosatti będzie maintainerem kernela 2.4.x.

From: Linus Torvalds To: Kernel Mailing List Subject: Linux-2.4.15-pre9 Date: 21 Nov 2001 22:44:30 -0800 David Mosberger noticed that SCHED_FIFO has been broken for a while, and obviously very few people really cared, but it should be fixed now. The USB update that I had originally documented as being part of pre8 was actually in my in-file, and is _really_ there in pre9, along with a bonus usbnet update. I think I'm ready to hand this over to Marcelo.
